หลังจากที่ต้องเลื่อนจัดงานด้วยสาเหตุของวิกฤตการณ์โควิด-19 มานานพอสมควร ล่าสุดเวทีประกาศรางวัลสุดยิ่งใหญ่ของวงการภาพยนตร์ก็ได้ฤกษ์เผยวันจัดงานในวันที่ 26 เมษายน 2021 ที่จะถึงนี้ พร้อมประกาศรายชื่อผู้เข้าชิงในแต่ละสาขารางวัลออกมาให้เหล่าแฟนคลับได้ลุ้นกันแล้วอย่างเป็นทางการ ซึ่งในปีนี้ภาพยนตร์ล่ารางวัลอย่างเรื่อง "Mank" โดยผู้กำกับ David Fincher ก็เข้าชิงไปมากที่สุดถึง 10 สาขารางวัล

     ทว่าที่เหล่านักวิจารณ์ภาพยนตร์ต่างจับตามองไม่แพ้กันนั่นคือ ภาพยนตร์สัญชาติอเมริกันเรื่อง "Minari" ภาพยนตร์ดราม่าครอบครัว เล่าถึงชีวิตครอบครัวของผู้อพยพชาวเกาหลีใต้ในชนบทอเมริกา ในช่วงปี 1980 ที่กวาดรางวัลจากหลายเวทีมาแล้วก่อนหน้านี้ ซึ่งเข้าชิงออสการ์ปีนี้มากถึง 6 สาขารางวัล โดยสาขารางวัลที่ต้องติดตามคือ นักแสดงสมทบหญิงยอดเยี่ยม ที่นักแสดงมากความสามารถอย่าง ยุนยูจอง วัย 73 ปีได้เข้าชิง ในฐานะของนักแสดงเกาหลีใต้คนแรกที่ถูกเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงรางวัลออสการ์ และอาจสร้างประวัติศาสตร์ครั้งใหม่ให้กับเกาหลีใต้อีกครั้ง ตามรอย Parasite ก็เป็นได้

     นอกจากนี้ยังมีภาพยนตร์อีกหลายเรื่องที่น่าจับตามองไม่แพ้กัน ไม่ว่าจะเป็น The Father หรือ Nomadland ที่การันตีรางวัลจากเวทีใหญ่ๆ มาแล้วเช่นเดียวกัน และนี่คือรายชื่อของผู้เข้าชิงออสการ์ ประจำปี 2021 จากทุกสาขารางวัลอย่างเป็นทางการ
